Powerful Breath Journey

What is Active Breathwork?
This style of breathwork is an active meditation that helps you shift your state. This practice moves a lot of energy through your body and can offer huge emotional release as well as deep healing. Other benefits include improved immune system response, improved lung capacity and elasticity and improved nervous system regulation. We work with a three part breath; two inhales followed by an exhale all through the mouth. This practice is done lying down to allow you to fully relax your body. An eye pillow is highly recommended so you can drop into your body and be fully present with whatever comes to the surface. This style of breath work is done with music to help you find the rhythm of your breath and go on a transformative journey. I experienced this powerful practice in Panama whilst on a retreat. Having initially been a little cynical, I was quickly pulled into an intense physical and emotional journey which left me with feelings of what I can only describe as complete bliss. I had to know more about the science and the human response and so I trained to become an active breathwork facilitator with two very inspiring teachers Ally Maz and George Ramsay. Active Breath Work can be practiced by all healthy individuals. If you are dealing with a serious medical condition, I advise you to speak to a healthcare professional. I do not recommend active breath work if you are pregnant, have severe asthma or epilepsy, high blood pressure or a history of heart failure, stroke or heart problem.
